What are Therapy Services?
Therapy services encompass any session or intervention performed by a therapist or clinical provider to support a client’s care. Most services are delivered through sessions, such as individual or family therapy. They can also include tasks like writing letters or making calls on behalf of the client, as long as they align with the client’s care goals outlined in the treatment plan. All services provided are billable. If you have any questions about what qualifies as a service, please consult your therapist or one of our administrative specialists.
Diagnostic Intake
A diagnostic intake is the first session anyone will receive when beginning therapy/counseling. A diagnostic intake helps ensure the appropriate clinical recommendations are made based on the presenting concerns of the client.
Individual Therapy
An individual therapy session is the most common form of therapy/counseling after the intake session because most of the therapeutic work takes place with the individual.
Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy, often referred to as marital therapy, couples counseling, premarital counseling, or family counseling, is most effectively provided by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). These therapists undergo additional training and rigorous testing to obtain their license, making them especially skilled in addressing issues and concerns within relationships.
Group Session
Crisis Stabilization
Crisis stabilization services are designed to prevent or reduce acute symptoms of mental illness.
Consultation Session
The consultation service happens when a therapist/counselor either observes or acts as an expert to provide advice on how to move forward with the presenting problem(s).
